Education is very important to me. I graduated from Hallsville High School and used the A+ Program to enroll in Moberly Area Community College. I recieved my Associates of Arts through Moberly. After finishing my degree at Moberly, I dual enrolled full-time at two colleges: Columbia College and William Woods University. I pursued my degree in psychology from Columbia College and my degree in paralegal students from William Woods University. From there I began taking Master level classes through Stephens College. Initially my degree "track" was for Licensed Professional Counseling, but I couldn't ignore the feeling that I belonged in the school setting and have always had a love for teaching. So, I decided to begin my journey on a dual track to also getting my certification for school counseling K-12. I am very excited to use what I have learned so far within my educational background and experience in the school setting to serve the students, families, and staff at the Sturgeon School District.
A Little More About Me
I am married to my husband, Kyle, and we have a little boy, Memphis. If I am not in my role as a school counselor, or continuing my education, you can find me with my little boy. He is such a sweet little human. And, if I am in my "mom role" you will find us reading a book or dancing-that boy can dance! Family is so important to me and they are my go-to for everything and are my roots. We have four dogs: Baby, Harper, Athena, and Demi. And, they keep my hands full. Other things I love to do is being active whether it is going on a run or just going to the park-I love being active outside.
